Maya is a PR and social media specialist with four years of experience. She graduated from Mount Royal University in June 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. 

While in university, Maya completed multiple work terms in both agency and in-house settings, including a year in the Federal Public Service working for Indigenous Services, where she supported the COVID-19 and internal communications files. 

Maya also ran PR and social media for the Boring Little Girls Club, and helped the non-profit to raise $10,000 for the Downtown Outreach Addictions Partnership team. 

When she isn’t working for Adverb, Maya creates content for The Ice Garden, an online women’s hockey publication, and has covered a variety of teams and leagues, including the 2022 Women’s Olympic Hockey tournament. 

Maya is passionate about learning new tools and systems to support clients with social media. She regularly tests them on her own social media, where she creates content on the topics of mental health, travel, sports and books on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
